Deformable Templates for Tracking and Analysis of Intravascular Ultrasound Sequences

چکیده
Deformable Template models are first applied to track the inner wall of coronary arteries in intravascular ultrasound sequences, mainly in the assistance to angioplasty surgery. A circular template is used for initializing an elliptical deformable model to track wall deformation when inflating a balloon placed at the tip of the catheter. We define a new energy function for driving the behavior of the template andwe test its robustness both in real and synthetic images. Finally we introduce a framework for learning and recognizing spatio-temporal geometric constraints based on Principal Component Analysis (eigenconstraints).

Deformable Templates for Plaque Thickness Estimation of Intravascular Ultrasound Sequences∗
Deformable Template models are first applied to estimate the wall of coronary arteries in intravascular ultrasound sequences. Two circular templates (inner and outer) are used to localise and track an image zone that contains the atheroma plaque. Moreover robust wall thickness estimations are derived from this analysis.

Face expression recognition is useful for designing new interactive devices offering the possibility of new ways for human to interact with computer systems. In this paper we develop a facial expressions analysis and synthesis system. The analysis part of the system is based on the facial features extracted from facial feature points (FFP) in frontal image sequences. Selected facial feature poi...
متن کاملShape-based Tracking and Analysis of the Aorta in Cardiac MR Images Using Geometrically Deformable Templates
We have developed a new approach to shape-based tracking and analysis of cardiac MR images using geometrically deformable templates (GDTs). We propose to use an energyminimizing deformable template which can deform into similar shapes under the in uence of external forces. The degree of deformation of the template from its equilibrium shape is expressed by the amount of bending energy which is ...
